History all Over Again

Do you see similarities between Viet Nam and Iraq and a difference when compared to Desert Storm? There is a real large difference and if you think about it, it's glaringly apparent.

First, there are two segments to confrontation. The first is diplomacy, the second is force, in that specific order.

First, the parties involved in the dispute get together and try to iron out their differences at the conference table. It might consist of a battery of give and take proposals. When diplomacy fails then force becomes the final solution to the problem. At this point politics and diplomacy no longer apply until such time as armed conflict resolves that which was at issue.

Well. in Viet Nam at presently in Iraq, our Government is still trying to apply diplomacy while our boys and girls are over there fighting, because of that, they are needlessly getting killed. It's the fault of congress for sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. You must keep your nose out of it, and let the Generals execute the war. You did the same thing in Viet Nam, and we got our ass kicked. Your doing it in Iraq! More particularly the Democrats, because they want to garner votes, they think this makes them look better, but they are the one's who are getting our people killed!
