Is Washington Burning while Congress Fiddles?

While there have been many books published over the years, few have come close to spelling out the future history of the United States of America. But, but there exists one major historical work on the library shelves that is a mirrored image of what awaits this country. In fact, if you have ever come across this book, you know its content is America. The book is entitled "The Fall of the Roman Empire!"

When, perhaps in two hundred years, some insightful author writes the book about the history of the United States, it will read just like Roman history.

What were the major factors that lead to Rome's demise? Immigration, high taxes, crooked government, pay-offs, political hacks, anti-religion, lawlessness etc. One thing is for sure, the Roman Empire fell from within! In short, everything that plagues this country today will lead to our fall. The only difference is that we will not exists as long as Roman did. We are more greedy, more selfish. We have less morals, we are fat, spoiled and lazy.
